As a leader in this company, my goal is to ensure each 3Mer sees and feels the positive impact we’re making around the world” – Mike Roman, chief executive officer and chairman, 3M The Impact You’ll Make in this Role The person hired for the position of Key Account will be responsible for sales and demand generation on 3M’s medical device solutions mainly into Operating Room, Intensive Care Unit and Oncology clinical setting for Private Hospitals/Clinics . As a Key Account, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. This role will report to the National Sales Leader for the Private Sector. Here, you will make an impact by: Defining a territory sales plan for area business development and customer portfolio optimization Adopting an analytical approach to prioritize and increase efficacy of customer interactions, sales activities, penetration projects and product adoption development Managing the sales cycle from opportunity identification to order execution Defining dedicated development projects aligned to different sales strategies for Top Private Groups, Private Clinics and Distributors Analyzing Sales, Market and Opportunity data to drive and adjust the own sales plan Developing and managing valuable relationship with key decision makers (from physicians to procurement and from top-management/owners to nurses) Supporting product testing and demo Participating in customer events (congress, workshop, hospital meetings, etc) Adopting the Evidence-Based approach in all sales interactions and solutions promotion activities (Scientific Studies, Health Economics, HTA, etc) Inspiring innovating sales models specific for Private sector Partnering with Clinical Specialists for joint programs/calls Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (Business or Clinical is preferred) Previous sales experience, at least 5 years, in medical device market Knowledge of Private sector and main stakeholders Value-selling skills Good presentation and networking skills Good level of English knowledge (spoken and written) Flexibility to travel across the assigned territory Microsoft Office proficient, CRM Salesforce.com is a plus Territory & Portfolio Your assigned territory is North-Center Italy. The portfolio you will promote is mainly Normothermia solutions, Vascular Access solutions, Perioperative solutions.
