IT Application Operation Senior Specialist

IT Operations Specialists typically have a high level of job satisfaction due to the integral role they play in the success of the company and the satisfaction of the customers and you will bring innovation and efficiencies to the IT department that is accountable for business and technical services. You will be responsible for delivering new and enhancing existing services by embracing automation (predictive data analytic, bot ) and continual service improvement across the group. Drive, collaborate and influence technical solution designs (aligned with strategic priorities), project teams and suppliers to deliver all operational requirements, technical process improvements and technical support to other IT Application specialists • Drive resolution of escalated and complex customer issues to minimise outage durations and ensuring the root cause is identified • To restore any part of the applications to normal service in a timely, safe and effective manner. • Own and manage relationships with suppliers and key internal stakeholders in order to achieve SLAs and improve IT KPIs • Support the definition and the improvement of IT Service Operations processes • Must be flexible and able to manage a business that can operate 24/7 (including holidays) and commit the time required to get the job done. Key accountabilities and decision ownership • Strong experience in managing end to end projects, wide multifunctional teams, resolve and escalate potential issues, strategic thinking • Manage external support relationships • Work with internal customers and other IT teams to ensure that operational requirements are captured, smooth product releases and zero defects customer experience • Ensure Performance and Availability Targets are met. • Support and resolve problems on production environments (down of the system/error on processes) Core competencies, knowledge, and experience • IT operations experience in multi-vendor, onshore, offshore, nearshore setups • Data Analytic and Cloud Skills • Experience in programming/scripting (Perl, Python, Bash), Open Source, in-depth understanding of Linux/UNIX OS. • Knowledge about even driven systems, schema, orchestration, mapping, and database development tools PL/SQL • Good problem-solving and quantitative skills; aptitude for debugging problems in complex, unfamiliar code Must have technical / professional qualifications • University degree (Engineering or Computer Science) • Fluent in English (written and spoken) • Experience with: Mobileum Raid8, PL/SQL Java, UML, Apache, bash/ksh Knowledge about various architectures and protocols such as MOM, SOA, REST, XML, XLS, WSDL, and SOAP • Pro-active, self-starter and self-organized Key performance indicators • High quality Monitoring and fast incident resolution • IT Applications availability and performance • Continual Improvement
