We are looking for a Head of Digital Unit. It is an opportunity for creative people with strong technical skills in the field and with a passion for Human Rights. The main objective of this position is managing and developing the digital communication strategy and the organization’s presence on the web. A further purpose of this position is that of taking action to reach the campaigning, fundraising and activism goals.

The role

Reporting to Head of Communication Department, the Head of Digital Unit is someone who makes sure the following goals are reached:

  1. Developing and managing the digital communication strategy and enforcing it within the institutional channels (website and social networks) and though e-mail marketing activities.
  2. Managing opportunities, tools and digital techniques in order to promote the organization’s reputation and impact, with a particular focus on campaigning activities.
  3. Supervising and contributing to the strategy management in terms of online promotion and positioning.

Requisiti

About You

The Italian Section of Amnesty International is looking for a Head of Digital Unit with the following characteristics:

Technical knowledge

  1. An in-depth knowledge of the tools and techniques required to manage and develop web platforms and the main CMS, to create and manage Google Adwords and Grants campaigns.
  2. A strong knowledge of analytics tools for the web (Google Analytics, csm webtrends, etc…).
  3. The ability to elaborate reports and reliable forecasts, to interpret and analyse online behaviour.
  4. Good knowledge of offline communication modes will be considered a plus;
  5. Great knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.

Experience

  1. At least five years of experience in international organizations or communication agencies in an equivalent position, with similar responsibilities and an experience in developing digital campaigns on social networks, advertising, e-mail marketing and managing SEO/SEM.
  2. Proven experience in managing and developing online campaigns, supporting activities for brand strategies, social media strategies and managing the technical aspects of complex projects in collaboration with agencies and suppliers.
  3. A bachelor’s degree in Humanities, Communication or Marketing, a Master’s degree or specialisation in digital communication or similar fields.

  1. Creativity: creating and implementing ideas and solutions to respond to criticism and elaborating innovating alternatives as opposed to traditional methods and approaches.
  2. Team Work: bringing an effective contribution to the achievement of common results, developing consensus and forging collaborations for the achievement of the common goals.
  3. Project Management: developing and managing clear working plans and setting goals, priorities and strategies in the medium-long term in light of organisational strategies and the contextual constraints/opportunities.

Line Manager: Senior Head of Communications Department

Contract: full time, one year fixed-term contract, renewable.

Gross Annual Salary: from € 30.000 to € 35.000 (based on qualification and work experience).
