The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing internal communications plans to achieve the goals of the Grid Integration business. A key member of the GI Communications team, the Internal Communications Specialist will focus on driving employee engagement and advocacy, as well as knowledge of our business goals, strategic initiatives and organizational culture across the GI business globally. This role will be an important contributor to the development and dissemination of our internal messaging to ensure our people understand and embrace our various internal initiatives, such as people engagement, strategy cascading, diversity and inclusion, safety, integrity and quality, execution excellence and learning organization, ,the development of core competences, master data, and so on. In addition, the Internal Communications Specialist will own the strategy and execution of ongoing GI initiatives, such as major organizational realignments, and for the regular cadence of information delivery to our employees (organizational announcements, virtual webinars, internal newsletters, programs and ideas and dedicated campaigns to improve the effectiveness of employee communications, use of internal Social Media, etc.). This individual will drive innovation in our communications channels, tools and processes, and will have overall responsibility for all internal communications, driving to improve quality, frequency, and formats, etc. Your responsibilities Oversee and execute all internal communications for the GI business, with a high standard of personal excellence and a focus on continuous improvement. Help increase employee understanding and engagement on our Business Unit strategy by strengthening leader and management communications. Work closely with the Head of Communications to develop the internal communications strategy and programs for Grid Integration’s Managing Director. Collaborate with external communications colleagues on their internal communications needs, including management organizational announcements, presentations, webinars and other engagement activities. Lead the implementation of the digital transformation and scale-up strategyinitiatives designed to optimize the way we work and our organizational culture. Be responsible for organizational announcements, leadership messages, IT communications and other internal communications activities. Work closely with the Global Head of Communications and the rest of the Business Unit communications team to ensure internal amplification of external campaigns, success stories, articles, press releases and other external communications initiatives. Work to increase our people’s use of social media to drive advocacy and attract talent. Establish close and integrated cross-functional collaboration to promote internal programs and generate new ideas and approaches. Respond to internal communication-related issues in a timely manner. Understand and stay up-to-date on key trends related to our customers, partners, industries, regions and markets. Your background: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or journalism. A minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in a communications environment. Excellent writing, editing and design skills. Experience in content strategy within a B2B communications environment. Demonstrated creative execution across the full range of communications media and formats (short-form, long-form, web, social, video, audio/podcasting, infographics, PPT presentations, executive stage time, webinars, etc.). Preferably experienced in utilities, energy, transportation and data centers. Experienced to work in a complex international matrix organization. Expertise in social media, curriculum development and change management. Effective interpersonal skills in active listening and rapport-building at multiple levels of decision makers, including executive and senior management. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and deliver in a complex, fast-paced business environment. Well-developed organizing and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects at any one time. Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus, but it’s not mandatory.
