Overview of the Role The Aerospace & Defence Sector Lead for Italy will be part of Capgemini Invent leadership team in Italy as well as a member of the global leaders for the impacted sectors. Within the team in charge of the A&D Industry at Invent, the Senior Manager will bring his/her expertise on issues related to the challenges of the sector in one or more of the following areas: engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, R&D, sales & marketing, services. He/she supports his clients in activating all assets at their disposal to improve their competitiveness. Key Responsibilities Delivery: • develop business relationships at CxO level and you lead large projects / programs that involve all Capgemini Group entities (technological experts, data, designers, etc.) in order to offer the best solutions to clients; • collaborate with clients to define and help realize long-term visions, goals, and strategies; • Pursue and cultivate trusted advisor relationships with C-Suite, business unit, and division head levels at the most critical clients to drive client value; • Redefining engineering operating models; • Optimization of the performance of engineering processes and activities; • Improving product cost competitiveness; • Implementation of digital continuity on the life cycle of a product. Driving Innovation: • develop an asset for the success of large projects and you provide support for the development of innovative thinking on new business models / services / assets. Business Development: • You develop your business sector and have the credibility of a leader in your specific field, both with customers and your colleagues; • You contribute to the development of a business platform on which you will generate a large volume of business and /or value by acquiring accounts or by expanding within existing accounts with the support of all the firm’s teams; • Create market awareness and launch initiatives to generate opportunities and to develop new markets and client relationships; • Win in the market by leveraging high expertise and insights. Find and create business opportunities across multiple entities in your region and abroad; • Nurture relationships with Capgemini key accounts; • Leverage synergies between the different offerings to maximize value to clients and Capgemini Invent. People Development: • Take a central role in expanding and strengthening the team through recruiting, training, and community-building and ensure talent retention at all levels; • Boost teams’ and individuals’ potential to improve their engagement, performance, and career experience; • Act as a role model, provide mentoring and coaching for junior team members to support continuous professional development; • Responsible for assessing performance in consultation with the leadership team. Professional Experience We are looking for candidates who match the following criteria: • At least 10-15 years of working experience in consultancy or leading firms in Aerospace & Defense market unit. Experience in Manufacturing industry would be a plus; • Strong knowledge of technological issues in aeronautics, space, defense or shipbuilding; • You have already piloted digital transformation projects in this environment; • Proven track record of business generation, building practices and ongoing client relationships across multiple assignments; • Possess strong general consulting skills and be able to overcome internal barriers through drive and determination; • Have strong project management skills and knowledge of business process improvement methods and tools such as agile, change management methodologies, lean etc.; • Fluency in Italian and English, another language would be a plus.
