For our office in Milan we are looking for a: Project Development Manager – Battery Storage Your responsibilities Lead the development of co-located and stand-alone energy storage opportunities in the Italian market Scout potential sites for energy storage development and lead negotiation of land agreements Identify co-location potential for energy storage in Aquila’s existing Italian renewable portfolio Be the knowledge center for energy storage in Italy incl. industry trends, applicable codes, and regulations Align closely with our investment teams for the overall financial modelling of the projects Coordinate with our technical teams the layouts, engineering, and cost planning for the projects Counsel for all internal investment processes, permitting and project finance negotiations for energy storage systems in Italy Manage and monitor the fulfillment of projects and assignments within budget, quality and on schedule during the planning, implementation, and commissioning stages Support to oversee local vendor relationships and actively participate in the negotiation and fulfillment of commercial and/or supply agreements Your qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. engineering, mathematics) Minimum 3 years’ experience in the energy markets or system engineering Attention to detail with the ability to efficiently manage complex technical projects and equally complex commercial negotiations Strong knowledge of the energy and renewable energy market, and a desire to keep updated with changing technologies, regulations, and trends influencing the continued adoption of renewable energy Commercial mindset, strong prioritization, communication, and organizational skills Sound understanding of project and asset management and contract / warranty negotiations Fluency in English and Italian; other European languages are considered a plus About us Aquila Capital is an investment and industrial development company focused on generating and managing essential assets on behalf of its clients.
