This role, as part of the Global Markets and Development team within the energy storage division NHOA Energy, drives business development and growth across Italy, directly reporting to VP EMEA. Additional support on expanding NHOA Energy’s business into other European emerging energy storage markets will be requested. As a critical member of NHOA’s global business development team, you will be responsible for the leadership of strategic pursuits across the utility-scale battery energy storage market in the Country, in line with the business’ growth strategy. Tasks and Duties · Evaluation of Italian energy storage market, players (customers, competitors, contractors), requirements and regulations with a continuous attention to any possible future evolution · Identify, qualify and pursue profitable opportunities within the Italian utility-scale battery energy storage market · Actively maintain a future projects pipeline, engaging with clients on a continuous basis to validate opportunities for origination, while ranking them for strategic fit · Manage the tendering process for all phases of the process, including approval to pursue, tender development, commercial negotiations, contract execution and handover to project delivery team · Develop the projects according to a logic of total ownership, interfacing with all internal (e.g. engineering, procurement, legal, finance, etc.) and external stakeholders (end customers, contractors, consultants, etc.) · Leverage existing and actively develop new relationships, partnerships and networks within the energy storage and renewables development community to validate opportunities, gather intelligence, shape project requirements and position NHOA Energy for success · Support the development of NHOA’s technologies, products and solutions to ensure they meet and exceed customer and/or market requirements · Represent the company at industry exhibitions, conferences, social events and forums · Drive the continued evolution of NHOA’s growth strategy and its effective implementation across Italy and other emerging EMEA countries (mainly European) Requirements Requirements: · Demonstrated experience (at least 5 years) in Battery Energy Storage and/or renewables, immediately recognizable as an expert in the field · Strong and proven business development, commercial and sales background, with technical knowledge of products, solution and services in the energy field · Understanding of the electricity markets’ structure, price, dynamics and actors, with a specific focus on the Italian environment · Engineering graduate having commercialized energy related equipment and/or solutions or other Graduate with experience in a technical environment, highly regarded but not required · Strong origination skills to be able to identify new opportunities and analytical skills set to develop them · Enthusiasm about the industry and strong ability to communicate and build relationships with new stakeholders, both internally and externally · A humble and hands-on solid team player spirit with a collaborative and consultative approach, comfortable in fast-paced working environment · Knowledge of energy-related EPC contracts and ability of driving negotiations · Ambition, self-motivation, energy industry enthusiasm, a will to learn and hardworking · Result-orientation and out-of-the-box thinking, with a strong ability to timely deliver · Curiosity by nature; possess strong analytical and problem-solving skill · Comfortable working in different cultural environments · Mother tongue or full proficiency in Italian · Advanced level of English (written and oral) Other information/requirements · Availability to travel when required, mainly in Italy but not only · Mother tongue or full proficiency in Italian · Advanced level of English (written and oral) Other information Location : Hybrid remotely from your home and HQ in Milan, Piazzale Lodi.
