Power Supply Engineer Become part of HHLA PLT Italy and shape the gateway to the future with us The Power Supply Engineer plays a critical role within the Asset team, managing the electrical development and construction of civil assets, and working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure their timely and compliant delivery. What you can expect Lead design, procurement, and construction (including test and commissioning) of electrical works Responsible for testing and monitoring after commissioning inspection Follow and optimize the existing energy consumption and supply package Collaborate with the operations team to calculate the required terminal power based on machinery and plant forecast Proactively find green-solutions and production alternatives to reduce the terminal’s carbon footprint Develop, design, simulate, and test high-power electronics devices and circuits Generate related documentation like schematics, procedures, technical reports, and drawings Evaluate electronic and electrotechnical systems and equipment Collaborate with technical team, external suppliers, and project partners/stakeholders Liaise with Public Authorities for electrical works when required Collaborate with technical construction team and operations daily Comply with all the safety and security rules and regulations, lead by example Support the department and business unit where required Follow the corporate authority matrix, contract policies compliance guidelines Actively report improvement opportunities to direct report What you bring to the table We’re looking for an experienced power supply engineer excited to join the largest port development in Italy. The ideal candidate has a hands-on mentality and a goal-oriented attitude, with experience in design, implementation, and supervision of power supply assets. The role requires a pro-active approach and problem-solving in coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Good English and Italian skills (German is a plus) 5 years of experience in power supply/electrical engineering (design, implementation, supervision, etc.) with projects exceeding €50 million 5 years of experience in formal/technical documents and regulatory (permit) approvals Good abilities in AutoCAD Thorough understanding of civil and safety guidelines and international practices Able to multi-task several ongoing construction projects Bachelor’s/master’s degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or similar Experience in supervising construction projects Ability to network and manage across internal and external technical offices Ability to network with internal and external stakeholders The ideal candidate would have a valid EU working permit and would be willing to relocate to Trieste at short notice.
