REMOTE Software Engineer

Description: A REMOTE Software Engineer job working anywhere in the U.S. is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, or a similar discipline, and 5 or more years of relevant experience. We are seeking a talented Software Engineering professional to join our exciting team with focus on Avionics Systems and Defense Products in this job.Domain experience in one or more of the following is preferred: MMS (Mission Management Systems), VMS (Vehicle Management Systems), GNC (Guidance and Navigation Controls), Fault Tolerant Systems, Controls and Displays, Security/Cyber, Systems Safety, or Communication. Job duties include: · Following software plans, processes, & guidelines · Development of mission critical software in an open systems architecture · Software requirements decomposition, analysis, definition, and traceability · Software design, development, and troubleshooting · Software analyses, requirements-based testing, and structural coverage analysis · Help raise the level of performance of the team through a collaborative team setting, consistent communication, and willingness to help others achieve success · Occasional to frequent travel on-site to customer facility Job Qualifications: · Bachelor of Science degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related engineering degree from an accredited institution. · % years embedded software development/integration experience – preferably with aerospace software/systems, power systems, or safety-critical technical systems. · Preferred software experience: C, C++, Ada · Regulatory experience in DO-178B/C or equivalent Mil Standards is required · Atlassian tools proficiency (JIRA, Confluence, Git) · Tool proficiency: DOORS, Visual Studio · Proficiency in systems tools, simulation testing environments, scripting, programming and analysis · Ability to deal with ambiguity, to be adaptable, to work across multi-discipline teams, and to drive results · US Citizenship only · Ability to obtain (if not already in possession of) a secret clearance is desirable We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $83,200 to $124,800. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
