The Role: We are looking forsomeone who is passionate about food and fanatic about high standards. As a CAVA Quality Assurance Technician, youwill be responsible for executing and enforcing daily quality-based tasks thatare instrumental to maintaining CAVA’s quality. Our Quality Assurance Technicians adhere toall plant GMP’s and lead others by example through following very important FSQAbehaviors. This position will reportdirectly to the Food Safety and Quality Manager, offers limited overtime, andrequires some scheduling flexibility. What You’ll Do: Administers Equipment and Sensory based Quality Assurance checks(pH, temperature, titrations, inspections, taste/visual checks, verificationchecks, etc) Conducts ATP and Environmental Swabbing, monitoring sanitationtesting results and trends Evaluates raw materials to ensure Quality Control standards foringredients and packaging Observes and reviews production practices and behaviors toverify adherence to procedures Works closely with production staff to implement holds,corrective actions and document processes Assists management to develop and review SOP’s Manages sample submissions to outside lab and tracks results foranomalies Conducts quality-based training with assistance from management Contributes insight and feedback to management team to improveupon current processes Executes additional projects and tasks as assigned by the FoodSafety and Quality Manager Aides in production of products Assists with the production department in order to meet yielddemands The Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry or other sciencepreferred 1 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry Experience in Quality Assurance is a plus Possess exceptional analytical skills, critical thinking andproblem-solving skills Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite Must have excellent organization skills Must be self-driven and able to work independently to deliverresults in a timely manner Must have familiarity with Food Safety plans Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in a cold environment, standing and walkingup to 75% Physical ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer Must be able to learn and operate basic production andsanitation equipment Must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment Must be able to identify, assess and observe detail Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift or carry up to 50pounds Must be able to roll 500 lb bowls of product ·Need to have good dexterity and possess abilities to makecritical sensory observations Ability to work around chemicals such as chlorine and/or othersanitizers Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly Ability to squat, kneel, bend and twist occasionally Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner What we offer: Competitive salary, plus bonus and long-term incentives Unlimited PTO, paid parental leave, plus paid opportunities togive back to the community 401k enrollment with CAVA contribution Company-paid STD, LTD, Life and AD&D coverage for salariedpositions Free CAVA food Casual work environment The opportunity to be on the ground floor of a rapidly growingbrand Indicatesqualifying eligible positions only As an equalopportunity employer, CAVA considers applicants for all positions withoutregard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, age, height,weight, marital status, sexual orientation, familial status, genetic informationor any other characteristic or protected classes as defined by federal, state,or local law.
