(HIT) is a specialist supplier of tailor-made air compression equipment to various industries. Our products have made a valuable difference for our clients, and we are now looking for a Mechanical Service Technician who will join our team and assist us in making a valuable difference in the century to come. The Mechanical Service Technician will be a core member of our Technical Assistance department that delivers site assistance and commissioning of our compressors. The purpose of the role is: Commissioning of fans, blowers and compressors, working on mechanical components of machinery. WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE? 1- Field techniques : Is responsible for the installation, assembly, disassembly, calibration, repair and maintenance of technical and/or electrical Installations, according to his expertise, field of activity or specialisation. This is done on site. Task: – Carries out overhauls, disassembles machines for maintenance or repair on site at the customer’s premises or in the workshop – Affects the pre-provision of transport – Installs – after overhaul or repair in the workshop – the machine on site again, aligns,and switches on again. – Checks that the work can be carried out safely – Carries out on-site inspections 2- Operational support: Assists through support, practical organisation and follow-up of certain activities. Task: – Monitors the progress and quality of the work – Checks correct compliance with procedures, rules and permits – Assesses the commitment and quality of your direct employees in relation to their tasks powers and responsibilities – Draws up preparatory instructions on the technical work to be carried out 3- Customer Service : Accompanies customers in identifying and modelling their needs and contributes to the development and implementation of adequate solutions Task: – Is the direct point of contact for clients during the term of the projects – Reports to customers on the status of the project – Communicates regularly and transparently with all interested parties on the state of playand possible problems – Is the communication link between the project coordinator and the customer 4- Reporting: Reports to his supervisor, management and/or board of directors when requested to do so.Can explain in detail how far everything is and what still needs to be done. Task: – Reports on a regular basis on the status of the project – both internally and externally – Sits periodically with all parties involved todiscuss and coordinate the project in detail – Coaches, guides, motivates and supervises the project technicians; influences them to take action and take responsibility for their own tasks – Produces reports of mechanical and electrical measurements 5-Project management: Is (co-)responsible for the realisation of a project (a project is a set of activities to achieve a predefined result within set conditions). Is responsible for planning, budgeting, organisation, follow-up and delivery, taking into account time, costs, quality, deplorability of project staff. Task: – Monitors the project agreements within the technical team, monitors the implementation of the project plan and adjusts if necessary – Monitors the project budgets together with the project coordinator – Monitors project parameters such as duration, budget, deployment of people and resources and quality – Follows up the quality plans 6-Safety conscious working: Follows the safety agreements and standards dutifully and contributes proactively to a safe working situation. Participates in ensuring compliance with safety (and health) requirements. Speaks to his colleague in a respectful manner. Ensures a safe and healthy working environment within his team with attention to welfare and the environment. Task: – Gives toolbox meetings – Instructs the employee of the compliance with the safety regulations – Provides the necessary safety instructions during work – Carries out site inspections – Reports accidents at work – Report incidents, via LMRA procedure (Last Minute Risk Analysis) – Sorts waste – Works and drives safely 7- Quality oriented working : Delivers quality work, follows the correct processes and strives for ‘continuous improvement’. Has sufficient knowledge and craftsmanship to be able to carry out tasks / assignments in a qualitative and successful manner. Task: – Reports on re-work, scanning and reporting to coordinator – Define and implement corrective action(s) together with the coordinator 8- Mentoring : The mentor supports and guides new colleagues as they settle into the organisation Task: – teaches new employees within the team new tasks and integrates them into the new working environment – gives a job training for technical and other skills necessary to carry out a new job. – teaches knowledge and specific technical skills to the new employee – gives advice on the development and evaluation of the new employee during his running-in period – ensures that the new employee’s familiarisation period is as short as possible in order to carry out his tasks efficiently – speeds up the integration of the new employee – is the contact person to answer questions on specific work issues and other practical matters – designates the new employee in compliance with the safety regulations . WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING? Customer centric approach; Knowledge of rotating machinery installation and commissioning practices; Previous experience on rotating machines mechanical service is considered as a preferred skill; Good Italian language skills and basic English language skills; Availability to operate up to 70% of the time outside of the office on field service; Good team worker with the ability to work independently, as well as within a team; Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload and deliver technical results; Basic expertise on instrumentation, control and electrical components (including motors); Good analytical thinker.
