EU project manager

Translated regularly participates in consortium-based research projects at EU or national level. In particular, currently Translated is participating in DataTools4Heart and AI4Europeana, and we’re constantly applying for further projects.Your roleYou will take leadership of Translated’s winning project proposals, inspiring the consortium’s members to deliver the highest-impact, best-quality project. You will develop our grant applications, developing concepts and finding and networking among potential partners. In particular, regarding Europeana Subtitled, you will take ownership of the project’s management, from its kick-off to its conclusion after 18 months, on Translated’s behalf.This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate your impact, diplomatic and leadership abilities, working on innovation and new technology in a European context.Your activities management and implementation of R&D projects on Translated’s behalf, reporting and escalating as needed representing us in R&D projects/consortia, with EU authorities, at relevant events managing project stakeholders’ relationships and expectations assisting in the definition of project specifications, involving all relevant stakeholders/teams and ensuring technical feasibility and resource availability ensuring the on-time and on-budget delivery of projects tracking progress through a solid project plan creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation implementing quality control processes organising the project’s EU reporting tasks (activities, management, financial/costs) actively engaging in business development activities, such as conception and writing of new research proposals finding new ideas, calls, partners delivery of high-quality presentations at events networking establishing and maintaining relationships with third parties following the evolution of emerging trends in technologies and identification of new concepts Desired Qualifications master’s degree in either science or business, with a strong interest in the other 8 years of experience managing EU consortium-based projects English language at level C2, great writing skills strong professionalism ContractYou will work from our offices in Rome, Italy. Currently, most of our colleagues are working from home, of course.We expect you to start in April or May 2023. We are offering an 18-month contract at first, which would ideally be extended or turned into a permanent contract when it expires.The salary will be about 45 000 to 55 000 € gross, according to experience. It might be further subdivided in a fixed part and a performance bonus.
