Maintenance Supervisor

The Role of Maintenance Supervisor: The Maintenance Supervisor supports the Engineering management team in overseeing the day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance of all equipment throughout the entire building. Responsibilities: Carry out any work or project as directed by the Engineering management team. Support in training, supervising, scheduling, motivating, positively disciplining and planning maintenance activities of the Hotel in the absence of engineering management team. Evaluate and follow-up on employee and contractors performance in a timely manner. Ensure that effective and concise preventive maintenance schedules are followed and update constantly the Engineering management team. Control project works and installations over and above typical maintenance duties. Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs. Diagnose and handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and associated equipment throughout the entire building. Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public area in a timely manner. Where required assist with training to all department staff to ensure efficient operation, proper maintenance and repair to equipment as well as good morale. Support with other tasks within the division and/or any tasks assigned to by the management team. Our Ideal Maintenance Supervisor will have: A minimum of three years’ experience preferably in a hotel/resort environment in the same leadership role. Good knowledge of general building maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating/cooling, outsourced gardening team, fire, and safety. Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request. Ability to operate computer equipment. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian. Fluency in English would be a plus. Legal right to work in Italy at the time of application.
