Continuous Improvement Manager

As Continuous Improvement Manager in PPG you will

· Continuously Improves Manufacturing processes ,efficiency and costs for Plant .

· Build, with the team, a multi-functional collaboration within the Refinish business, reinforcing the continuous improvement mindset

· Knows and use the “value stream mapping”

· Trusts in data analysis that becomes Action Plans

· Focus on collaboration in order to develop and coordinate Efficiency and Sustainability project on Site

· Reinforcing communication between the departments, promote the Lean manufacturing approach in order to build and lead a “Lean thinking strategy”

Key Responsibilities

• Keep Focus on Plant KPIs, plant dashboard trends.
• Coordinate the selection of the specific improvement projects, collaborating with Operations manager and Functional Managers to support budget plans development being proactive in cost saving opportunities identification and Value improvement Projects.
• Develop a projects savings tracker system validated by financial controller to reflect the monthly savings reached in the manufacturing monthly results for both sites.
• Support the local team in coordination activities assuring projects on time implementation, 5S program execution and internal formal reporting.
• Develop annual BPI training plan identifying persons for specific training programs in Lean, Six Sigma and 5S, in collaboration with the Operation Manager.
• Deliver training in BPI methodology in Italian working to increase communication skills of the local team and outside the plants in the other business areas supporting the Corporate BPI team.
• Coordinate and manage different scope and complexity cross function projects in all the business areas.
• Manage the communication Bottom-Up and Top-down level of the organization.
• Work in a proactive way with Operations team (Operations Manager, area Managers and Supervisors) with the scope to develop BPI initiatives in Milan plant production department
• Update the Refinish global picture for BPI savings, Energy reduction program and Sustainability plan for the Milan site and maintain networking in order to share standard methodologies globally.
• Support the Plant Manager and the Engineering Team to identify and deploy a mid-long term strategy related to the Energy consumption reduction and long term Site sustainability.
• Manage Human and Organizational Performance Program (H.O.P.) across Plant function
• Manage internal and External Six Sigma Audit System

Qualifications

• Typically 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in the role of Continuous improvement Contest , (WCM, TPM SIX, SIGMA or similar)
• General Plant Production contest Knowledge. Filling technology industries is preferred
• Proficiency on project management and process improvement.
• Problem solving approach
• Interpersonal communication skills
• Sustainability focus
• IT Skills: business Suite Office (especially Excel and PPT), database
• Presentation and public speaking Skills
• Smart approach to business
• Lean Six Sigma , WCM or TPM Certification is preferred
