We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Health & Safety Manage to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as a role model for safety, effectively communicate safety objectives throughout the plant, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous development. The Health & Safety Manager will actively engage in departmental activities, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment and will report to the Site Manager. The role will be based in the Altopascio (LU) Plant. This facility is entirely devoted to the manufacturing of our renowned brands (Tempo and Tork), ensuring the creation of high-quality products that reflect the values and standards that define our company.

What you will do

Safety Leadership. Serve as a role model for safety practices within the organization. Effectively communicate safety goals, objectives, and best practices to all plant personnel. Actively participate in Daily Operations Meetings (DOMs).

Incident Investigation. Lead investigations into near misses and Lost Time Accidents (LTAs), implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Conduct coaching on the job, focusing on Machine Safety Risk Assessment (MSRA), Job Safety Analysis-Breakdown of Safety (JSA-BOS), and Industrial Hygiene Best Practices (IHBE).

Workplace Safety. Lead working sessions on Machine Safety Risk Assessment, Isolation of Hazardous Energy, and the safe use of ladders, steps, and stairs. Oversee and participate in Critical Incident Learning (CIL) and Maintenance activities on production lines.

Continuous Improvement. Lead reapplication of safety initiatives through the plant's network, ensuring consistency and effectiveness. Identify CAPEX needs to support mid-term plans and contribute to the development of the departmental budget.

Performance Management. Take accountability for the department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Lead the Performance Management process, including setting objectives, providing feedback, and managing consequences within the department.

Team Management: Lead and manage a team of 2 Safety Specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and support. Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing. Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives, manage a team, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

What you are

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

5 + years of experience in EHS management, preferably in industrial setting.

In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and incident investigation techniques.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives, manage a team, and drive a culture of continuous improvement
