C++ Software Engineer (Test Automation)

The Project Zuru Tech is digitalizing the construction process of buildings all around the world. We have a multi-national team developing the world’s first digital building fabrication platform, you design, we build it Modena, Italy, is the Software Development HQ. Here we develop Zuru Home app, a BIM (Building Information Modelling) software meant for the general public, architects and engineers, created to design, buy and send to manufacturing any type of building withcomplete design freedom. Welcome to the future Role and Responsibilities As our new Developer, you will develop and maintain automated test suites using C++ and Unreal Engine tools, ensuring top technology application. Collaborating with the development team, you will assist in identifying and rectifying bugs while verifying that new features are testable and meet requirements. A crucial part of your role will be to participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards. You’ll often find yourself refactoring non unit-testable code to make it testable, and spotting opportunities for the general improvement of codebase design and architecture. You will implement and maintain custom core features of the engine as well as new product features. Part of your responsibility also revolves around communicating testing best practices to your team and others, all while proposing solutions for improvement in the testing process. Lastly, you’ll make sure to effectively communicate test results and issues to the development team and actively participate in team meetings to discuss testing progress and priorities, ensuring a coordinated approach to our goals. Skills At least 1 years of experience in software development and testing, with a focus on C++/Unreal Engine. Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns. Experience with writing test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts. Familiarity with software testing methodologies and practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing using testing tools as needed. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on identifying and addressing areas for improvement in the codebase. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and best practices to other software developers on the team, as well as developers of other teams.
