As our Senior Software Developer Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: Being part of the team during the full lifecycle of source code, from implementation to testing to user acceptance to deployment Participating in agile meetings for planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and daily standups Writing test-driven, maintainable code and following industry standards and web development best practices Gathering requirements and create technical specifications as needed Implementing new features and maintain existing features of production pipeline Working with architects, project managers and other engineers to assure accurate timelines and deliverables Collaborating with colleagues to find elegant, long-term solutions as well as creative quick fixes to problems Documenting code and creating high-level interaction diagrams Participating in on-call support rotation What we will love about your background: 5 – 7 years of experience with at least one Cloud platform: AWS, Azure, Google, OpenStack, etc is preferred. Expertise with test-driven development in c# , Java or equivalent language Must be comfortable working on the Windows shell command line Demonstrate the ability to reduce complex ideas and problems into clear concepts and solutions Experience with relational databases Open to learning new languages and technologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to basically communicate in the English language verbally and in writing. Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc Your Experience and Education include: Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent 5 – 7 years of experience in Cloud Native Applications Knowledge with full product lifecycle Advanced Experience with Git Knowledge with Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, etc. is preferred. Knowledge of project documentation management. Experience in using Spring Boot, Hibernate, Java, JEE framework is a plus Expertise with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) will be a plus Who you are as a Team Member: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Willingness to ‘roll up sleeves’ and dive deep into tactical work when necessary. Good interpersonal skills, willingness to learn and continue to grow professionally.
