Job Description Our digital operations team is responsible for ensuring the stability and availability of our global clients’ digital platforms and the related ecosystem of partners, through effective governance of processes and procedures to maintain, update, manage, and evolve those platforms while dealing with operational risk and promoting business effectiveness. We are seeking an exceptional individual to take on the role of Senior Digital Operations Portfolio Manager with a focus on managing senior client stakeholders, governance of a complex set of digital operations workstreams, and possessing strong expertise in planning and risk management. This hybrid role combines elements of a Senior PMO and a client engagement manager to drive successful outcomes and exceed client expectations. Responsibilities: Act as the primary point of contact and operational management for the client and the wider Publicis Sapient digital operations team across key European markets. Stay on top of all digital activities managed by the relevant teams (including but not limited to Websites, CRM, Analytics, and social media). Support a team operating across multiple digital capabilities (web, mobile, SEO, analytics, CRM, etc.) to deliver exceptional results. Work with team leads to allocate resources, estimate budgets, track project costs, and create production schedules for all digital projects. Manage timely reporting on overall operational status, providing insights and recommendations both to the client and internally. Monitor and interpret data and analytics on workflows, processes, and related performance metrics to identify operational inefficiencies and devise solutions for improvement. Act as a point of escalation for issues raised by the client or the digital operations team, providing expert support and direction to drive swift resolution. Promote efficiency and optimization across the client’s digital ecosystem through innovative strategies and process improvements. Ensure the team follows established procedures from production to quality assurance, maintaining a high standard of work and adherence to best practices. Coordinate with other departments within Publicis, optimizing inputs and outputs of the digital operations process and ensuring seamless collaboration. Qualifications Personal Qualities Exceptional diplomacy and client management skills to effectively engage and build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders. Strong client-facing presentation skills Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency. Proficiency with planning and reporting tools to effectively communicate progress and performance metrics to stakeholders. High numeracy to manage and explain reports, dashboards and trackers, reflecting the complexity of the operational framework. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction. Essentials 5 years of experience in project and program management. 5 years of experience in client-facing roles, showcasing the ability to manage senior client stakeholders effectively. Experience working across technical and non-technical teams, bridging the gap between different departments. Excellent understanding of digital ecosystems, including digital production processes, digital property management and execution. Good understanding of digital practices such as CRM, SEO, Analytics, digital asset production, and web management. Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex ideas and concepts (fluency in Italian and English is mandatory, additional languages are welcome but not essential) Experience leveraging data and metrics to drive continuous improvements. Strong team leadership and project management skills to coordinate a diverse team in a dynamic environment. Desirable: 5 years of experience running digital operations, overseeing complex workstreams, and ensuring governance. Previous experience in leading digital services, channels, and/or solution platforms. Operational/service delivery management experience for digital channels and solutions. Third-party supplier management experience, ensuring effective partnerships and service delivery. Experience implementing efficient processes, including automation or standardization, to enhance operational effectiveness.
