The role: For our plant with over 800 employees in Montecchio Maggiore (VI), we are looking for a Business Application Specialist (BAS) who will be responsible for product launches & updates, program development, adding new functions, market communication and training. He/she will be also responsible for working with the business and subject matter expert teams to turn business knowledge into specifications and drive that specification from concept to launch. His/her primary goal will be getting our products into the sales systems and working according to real world application and function. He/she will be both a product and a sales system expert, driving sales system to align with our commercial strategies for selling products. Principal Responsibilities: Creating, managing and delivering requirement specifications for program improvements Converting specifications into system documentation and training material Creating project timelines in accordance with product launches Project planning and delivering according to plan and agreed objectives Managing development for new functions to align with product launches Coordinating with cross-functional owners across Business Units Maintaining and enhancing key internal business applications Communication with stakeholders, getting VOC and regular feedback to them Working with users to provide training, solve problems and correct errors Lead Process development projects according to the PULS, or equivalent process, and project management principles Additional Responsibilities: Securing that application(s) documentation is up to date Communication with stakeholders around application(s) roadmap Creating and maintaining a 5-year roadmap of their owned application(s) Participate in IT budget discussions for maintenance and projects for their respective tool portfolio Assigning and prioritizing product and application support tasks (PAS, Smart support, Bugzilla, JIRA) Tracking performance of Sales Tools against goals and schedule in Jira, or equivalent system and/or process Keeping Sales Tools updated Collaboration and communication with Selection software supplier, e.g. implementation of new business requirements and testing of software maintenance and upgrade Qualifications: Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering 2-5 years of experience in a similar role . Fluent in English and Italian Project Management attitude MS Project, MS Office and SharePoint Trained or have experience in writing requirement specifications for IT projects Preferred Qualifications: Good knowledge of our product assortment Process modelling Information modelling IT System development, Agile, IT System testing, Jira Continuous Improvement – Lean Six Sigma and Change Management Soft Skills: Good communication skills Attention to details Continuous improvement mindset Cross-boundary collaboration Ability to prioritize Flexible TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS : 15% mainly in Europe LOCATION : Montecchio Maggiore (VI) CONTRACT : Permanent, full time BENEFITS : Company bonus canteen SMART WORKING : 2 days per week after the first training period Xylem is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
