Business Development Manager


Due to continued growth, we are expanding our sales team in Italy and are seeking a driven sales professional with proven experience of creating net new business opportunities in the Italian Tech market. Working collaboratively as part of a team of local sales. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, tenacious, and self-motivated sales professional who is hungry for sales success. Responsible for defining and executing a strategy to create a consistent flow of Tech companies and communities within identified verticals like ecommerce/web hosters, local cloud providers, management (ERP/CRM), Financial services (fintech), Gaming and Education. Responsible for building and managing a strong pipeline through a combination of Self-prospection, lead generated and marketing generated opportunities. Working collaboratively with key internal stakeholder to deliver upon the strategy to achieve results. Co-creating impactful and compelling campaigns with our Ecosystem (Partner program, Startup Program, Open Trusted Cloud/ OTC and Marketplace) to increase awareness in the market. To present account review plans and large deal review sessions with direct line manager and other senior stakeholders. Responsible for maintaining accurate information in the OVHcloud CRM and forecasting systems reporting on KPI’s in line with business goals. Continuous personal development via internal and external programs to develop product, market, and competition analysis. Skills and Experience Successfully completed studies in economics, business, computer science or a comparable background. At least 3 years of sales experience selling IT solutions ideally within Cloud and Software industries. Passion for new technologies and dynamic markets and an interest in continuous development Proven ability to repeatedly generate (and close) net new logo tech business. Highly self-motived individual who has a desire to exceed sales goals, while building trusted relationships. A strong individual contributor and team player, with proven solutions sales experience into the IT cloud market, tech startups or software vendors (SaaS/PaaS). Experience and proven relationships within the region working with technology partners and communities: VMware, Nutanix, Google Anthos, Mongo DB, aiven, Terraform, Spark, Hadoop, and Kubernetes. In-depth knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Cloud & Digital Commerce, and market trends preferred. Experience of selling to all levels within an organization, including C-level, and excellent negotiation skills. An excellent communicator, both written and verbal. Fluent in Italian and English.
