JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate will be part of Optical EMEA Ophthalmic Lens & Contact Lens Category Management team, supporting the business in all the relevant initiatives of the Contact Lens assortment management process . The main objective of the role is to deliver markets with the product portfolio and related product content to enable accelerated revenue growth of the contact lens category. He/She will support the Head of the Optical EMEA Lens category management team for product presentations, NPI launch, assortment analysis, debriefs, etc. He/She will help the implementation of central guidelines / common standards and methodologies at regional level. He/She will support in cascading the Contact Lens global strategy coordinating its implementation among all Optical EMEA markets (Operating Companies). The job requests a good ability of problem solving to be able to identify issues and how to solve them. Knowledge, interest, and passion for product are key, as much as a structured and analytical approach) AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES: He/She will support for defining and building the Contact Lenses product and assortment strategy, as well as coordinating its implementation among all GrandVision markets (Operating Companies) and different sales channels. He/She will support for the development of tactical category plans, related to introduction of new products and suppliers, processes or standards, based on the commercial strategy of the company, and in alignment with the necessary internal and external stakeholders. Identification of product opportunities & requirements and ensure sourcing together with Procurement team and Central Contact Lens team Identifies market/consumer/competitor insights and trends, based on own research and Competitor Insights department Review with Local Contact Lens Category team and coordinate assortment definition, in collaboration with the central team, and assortment execution at local level Manage the relationship with regional stakeholders (e.g. Regional Lens Supply Chain, Regional Finance, Regional Marketing, GrandVision Markets, Sourcing and Procurement team) NETWORK OF INTERACTION: INTERNAL: Global Retail Lens Category Management; Local Lens Category Management; Retail Merchandising; Merchandise Financial Planning. E XTERNAL: Finance Team; Go to Market Team, Regional Marketing Team; Regional Supply Chain, Sourcing and Procurement, Central contact Lens team TECHNICAL SKILLS – PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in economics or marketing, or an Optometry education. 5/10 experience in the optical retail industry as a must Knowledge of Contact Lenses industry as a must Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment Knowledge of financial impacts of the category Experience of influencing internal and external contacts in a complex organization Detail oriented and analytical skills Office (especially Excel and Power Point) Propensity to deal with technical systems Strong problem solving Strong verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills and team player.
