IBM Cloud Application Architect in Rome , Italy Introduction As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders. Your Role and Responsibilities As a Cloud Application Architect with a focus on Microservices, you will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their digital transformation journey and tackle complex challenges. You will set the direction and scope for projects that deliver bespoke solutions, using your comprehensive knowledge of Cloud and microservices architecture. Your responsibilities will include: Identifying the right cloud services for the design, development, and deployment of microservices-based applications based on given needs Facilitating the migration of complex, multi-layer applications to a microservices architecture, incorporating top security protocols Analyzing cloud application requirements and providing architectural advice for implementation, deployment, and provisioning of applications on microservices Constructing and maintaining DevSecOps within microservices and Hybrid Cloud structures Serving as the organization’s point of contact for Cloud and microservices solutions and delivery and nurturing Cloud and microservices capabilities across the Team Dispensing best practice guidance on the architectural design across multiple applications and projects within the enterprise Guiding both local and remote teams of architects and developers in the solution delivery and governance Required Technical and Professional Expertise Over 7 years of experience in IT services across diverse sectors At least 5 years of experience acting as an Architect in a major public cloud, Digital transformation platform/products/services 3 years of hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud and microservices architecture Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Solid experience on Public clients/projects Preferred certification in Enterprise Architecture frameworks, like TOGAF or equivalent About Business UnitIBM Consulting is IBM’s consulting and global professional services business, with market leading capabilities in business and technology transformation.
