For an Italian hospitality chain (+50 hotels) we are looking for a

The ideal candidate must have a deep knowledge of international luxury markets and their main stakeholders (travel agencies, tour operators, agency networks such as Virtuoso, luxury hotel network such as Preferred-LHW-SLH, travel advisors, etc), with specific emphasis on US travel market .

He will play a pivotal role on supporting company strategic goal of expansion on those markets, selling 19 hotels and resorts (which are a premium brand of a well-known hospitality chain).

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for international markets business development via prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing contracts.
  • Manage client relationship through all phases of the sales cycle.
  • Review and management of existing business partners to assure maximum potential of each account is reached.
  • Actively source and secure new business opportunities via a range of distribution channels.
  • Coordinate sales representative activities, defining priorities and securing a maximum focus on company goals is supported.
  • Build strategic relationships with key travel stakeholders of targeted markets.
  • Assistance with strategy, pricing, competitor analysis, negotiation to assure the correct brand positioning.
  • Review and assure a high quality of printed and online content and sales material.
  • Propose marketing options focused on targeted audience.
  • Train centralized booking office and front office agents to ensure a suitable understanding of our offers, products and values we offer over our competitors.
  • Proactively monitor the market and propose tactical campaigns to support critical performances.
  • Travel and attend to trade show and major events, studying a calendar of meeting (i.e. a bespoke dinner, sales calls across the area, etc) in alignment with head-office indications and affiliations.
  • Ability to proactively coordinate and organize fam trips in selected Hotels in line with the business needs of the product.
  • Responsible for tracking customer information, forecasts and reports.

Job Requirements:

  • Leisure travel sales experience (4+ years) with preference for hotel/hotel chain in high end/luxury environment.
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills, other languages knowledge is a plus.
  • Full knowledge and operation of information system: Opera and Microsoft programs.
  • Must be a Self – starter.
  • Analytical skill set, strong presentation skills, ability to interact with any level within an organization.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
