Contract Manager

Overview Our client is a well-known global player in the engineering, general contracting, and project development industries. With a portfolio of over 1000’s projects performed world-wide in over 50 different countries, our client can pride themselves for having 16 offices worldwide and operating globally on complex and challenging projects. As part of their ambitious growth plans, they are now making a key hire for an exciting and memorable project that will change the landscape of one of the most iconic Italian cities, Milan. They are looking for an experienced contract manager with a strong background in the construction sector. Your Role As an experienced contract manager, fluent or native in Italian, you will ideally be a degree-qualified engineer, lawyer or construction professional. Therefore, you will have a profound knowledge and understanding of “Codice Civile” and “Codice Degli Appalti.”. Strong expertise in contract administration and managing subcontractors on construction projects is essential. Responsibilities include preparing client claims, managing compliance matters, subcontracts, and potentially dispute resolution/arbitration preparation. Familiarity with interim payment certificates and measurements is desirable. Due to the project’s mixed public and private financing, it will require capability of stakeholder management. You You are either an Engineer or a Lawyer with over 10 years of experience working on-site on construction projects. In addition, you are: Driven to bring value and add value to the project Creative mindset, not afraid of taking on new challenges Passionate about providing advice and guidance. Experienced in large-scale projects. Thrives in a challenging and changing environment. You have a curious, dynamic, and proactive attitude and you pride yourself of a strong attention to detail and great communication skills; Native/Fluent Italian Speaker Believer in strong collaboration both internally and externally.
