Position Overview: Customer Technical Support Specialist will provide a comprehensive technical service and support to allocated customers and technical support to the sales and manufacturing functions connected with allocated customers. This role will be responsible for coordinating and implementing filling line trials on customer sites to evaluate new/modified Ball products and customer products being filled in Ball components. Key responsibilities include: Contacting customer regarding quality issues and visiting the customer where required Generating complaint notification for internal distribution and reviewing complaint with Ball manufacturing plant and/or customer under supervision Responding to customer on quality issue cause and any actions taken within Ball in line with CTS Manager Administering the sorting/destruction of any filled stock agreed as unusable Coordinating with customer and Ball Manufacturing to ensure test cans/ends of the correct quantity/specification are available Arranging for filling at customer location and where necessary, assisting with its completion Supporting in auditing customer filling facilities/warehouses for problems which may result in reduction in filling speed, damage to cans or ends and unsafe seam quality Examining under guidance, customer & Ball filling facilities/warehouses to determine areas of enhancement Performing regular audit as per Ball procedure Deciding along with Regional CTS Manager, what trials are required, filling line trials or test packs, bench tests Experience and skills required: Degree in Technical education Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technical support to customers and preferable technical knowledge and experience on Can and End manufacturing Customer oriented with good analytical skills Advanced knowledge of MS Office Ball Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
