For our office in the Cargo City of Milan Malpensa (or alternatively Spino d’Adda, Limito di Pioltello, Pozzuolo Martesana or Calenzano), we are looking for a brilliant Customs Operations Supervisor with a Customs Broker’s License to be included in the HealthFowarding Business Unit. with a permanent contract and under the guidance of the Global Operations Director (Health Forwarding Business Unit). Description The Customs Operations Supervisor works in the freight forwarding sector, signs and coordinates the evasion of all customs procedures, takes care of relations with the customs authorities and checks the commercial documents issued by importers and exporters, for goods that have to cross the border and that the company will have to manage on behalf of the customer. He/She is also responsible for a team of 2/3 people. Main Responsibilities Supervise and manage customs import and export operations on a daily basis (e.g. issuing, registration, electronic sending of customs documents, planning customs clearance, calculation of tax taxes, etc.) with signature responsibility Manage the revisions of customs bills Maintain interpersonal relationships with the customs authorities and manage the applications to be presented Manage duty relief and refund requests Support the Finance Department in active and passive invoicing Ensure warehouse operations comply with customs directives Ensure that the quality procedures (SOPs) are followed and always updated in order to maintain the certification Mandatory Requirements High School Diploma or Technical Qualification Qualification to exercise the profession of Customs Freight Forwarder (LICENSE valid – candidates without this requirement will be automatically excluded) At least 5 years of experience in the international shipping sector Excellent knowledge of EU and international customs legislations Excellent knowledge of English (level B2 / C1) Familiarity with IT tools and excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Word and Excel Familiarity in the use of platforms for the management of customs activities Preferred requirements Bachelor’s degree in Economics or related field Specialization / advanced training course on International Shipping or Customs Knowledge of a second foreign language (level B1) Skills Flexibility of hours and dynamism Willingness to travel nationally 20% of the time Ability to work on personal initiative Creative and digital mindset Ability to operate in an organized way and to manage priorities and deadlines Strong aptitude for problem solving Analysis and calculation skills Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills More details on the economic offer will be disclosed during the job interview.
