The Data Analytics Platforms Area offers business users these services: 1) Allianz Data Platform: the foundation of the data strategy and target infrastructure for: • Data Consumption • Data Production 2) Data Governance: focused to ensure high data quality throughout the complete lifecycle of the data The data engineer will be responsible for operating on Data Platforms Big Data or hybrid, on-premises or cloud, implementing pipelines of batch or real-time processing, transformation and treatment of structured and unstructured data. He will work with different technologies constantly evolving knowledge and curiosity regarding new technologies and methods. Provide advisory to identify engineering technologies within nascent Big Data architectures or to streamline already active ecosystems with problems of order, quality, reuse, structuring; to demonstrate and evolve the ability to build relationships with different team works, and always ensure the achievement of the best solution in accordance with the needs and requirements shared. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Monitor Application Management team activities (outsourced to an external provider), in order to verify compliance with the required service levels and the fulfilment of tickets within the agreed SLA • Support the resolution of infrastructure/security issue tickets, impacting applications managed on Global Data Platform, Microstrategy or PowerBI • Verify the impact on applications of the Infrastructure Changes required by Allianz Tech SE • Verify the compliance of the technical solutions applied for project activities with: o global standards o security standards • Plan and supervise activities in case of scheduled or emergency changes • Hold weekly meetings of alignment in order to share the status of the activities, any critical issues and the possible solutions KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE • At least 5-7 years of experience in Big Data Technologies • Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology • Required Skills: o Experience in building pipelines in Azure Synapse or ADF (Azure Data Factory) o Programming skills – T-SQL, Stored Procedures; strong experience with SQL o Experience of working with any one of the Database technologies, preferably SQL servers o Experience with Python, and/or Scala and Spark declinations, incl. Databricks and the Jupyter interface o Experience of working with Big Data Technologies like Apache Spark, preferable Azure Data Bricks o Knowledge around Data Models (3NF, Star & Snowflake, Data Vault), DWH principles and architecture o Experience with Git and CI/CD, ie. Github Actions or Jenkins o Experience with containerization technologies, ie. Docker and Kubernetes o Preferred experience with BI tools especially PowerBi and/or Microstrategy o Other services, ie. networking components including VPCs and subnets, and security components including Active Directory and Key Vault, will be a plus o Experience with Data Governance Frameworks (e.g. Informatica Axon, EDC) and principles is a plus o Experience with the Informatica Powercentre (ETL) and Change Data Capture is a plus o Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) knowledge is required • Strong analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills • Interested in new technologies and new methods for analytics • Team spirit, self-motivation, and a proactive result-driven working style as well as the ability to interact in a global work environment with people from different countries and cultures • Strong ability to work under pressure, manage issues and sharply meet deadlines • Fluent in Italian and English 30538 | IT & Tech Engineering | Professional | Allianz Technology | Full-Time | Permanent Allianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
