The Global Information Technology (IT) Department of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is actively working on rationalizing and streamlining the diverse technological landscape within the Group. This ongoing initiative bears many aspects and lead to many projects mobilizing the overall workforce of the company. Azure DevOps Engineer The Role The DevOps Engineer works closely with the release and CI CD manager in Geneva and collaborates with other members of the release and CI CD team in Chennai, India, to support teams located in Switzerland, India, USA and Italy. His main goals will consist of enforcing release management and CI CD best practices to improve the delivery quality, efficiency, and speed for MSC’s IT project portfolio. Key Responsibilities Monitor and coordinate the implementation of release management and CI CD best practices Implement and help standardize new release management and CI CD best practices Continually work towards making improvements in the release process Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality Develops scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges Automate processes Manage CI CD tools/platformsand Develop and maintain Pipeline configurations Train and support teams for CI CD best practices adoption Document processes and implementation best practices Qualifications and experience At least 3 years of release and/or project management experience Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle Experience in large projects including offshore PowerShell or other scripting languages Microsoft Azure DevOps Ability to interpret and write source code (Microsoft languages) Familiarity with software packing tools (.exe, .rpm, Docker) Good knowledge of version control tools (Git) Good knowledge of provisioning tools (Terraform, Ansible) Familiarity with cloud providers (preferably Azure) Excellent English communication skills (oral and written) J-18808-Ljbffr
