Our client, SIDEL, is a leading provider of equipment, services and complete solutions for packaging liquids, foods, home and personal care products in PET, Respect Integrity Service The role: EHS & Waste Coordinator The purpose of our EHS & Waste Coordinator is to develop and maintain a best in class EHS & Waste management to support CBRE on the SIDEL Contract ensuring legislative requirements are met. Key responsibilities are as follows: Train personnel and occupants in HSE practice Evaluate, analyze, develop, implement and manage HSE programs Accident/injury prevention Hazardous materials/waste management Environmental regulatory compliance L ead fire and life safety programs including management of third party vendors to meet Local and Global compliance requirements Establishing a proactive waste management strategy to ensure that CBRE and SIDEL complies with all relevant environment, waste and sustainability legislation, industry standards and other requirements that impact on business activities Subject matter expert on all matters relating to waste in order to provide accurate and timely advice to colleagues and clients on maintaining the highest standards Continually reviewing the effectiveness of the CBRE waste and sustainability management strategy, developing and updating processes as appropriate Promotion of good environmental waste practice to stakeholders to establish a positive culture in environmental management, and supporting the development of improvements in performance Maintain databases and information systems and undertake analysis of performance indicators to support the development of CBRE improvement plans Engage with SIDEL representatives to ensure that the waste management action plan is relevant and successfully implemented Establishing and maintaining links with key external agencies and peer organisations to benchmark waste management programme and keep up to date with leading practice Manage complex customer and business expectations and can negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes and resolve conflict Act with autonomy, authority and good judgement in the management of their role, while collaborating effectively with other QHSE team members to seek out, share and implement best practice Person Specification At least 3 year of experience in the role Fully conversant with EHS, Waste and sustainability legislation, technical standards, and their application in a property and facilities environment Able in managing stakeholder relationships Presentation and communication skills T skills, especially with Excel and database management, and be able to add value to the development or enhancement of these reporting systems Financially aware Our mission: To build a world-class business through exceptional service and exceptional people RESPECT We act with consideration for others’ ideas and share information openly to inspire trust and encourage collaboration.
