GENERAL MANAGER, Hotel Caruso, a Belmond Hotel, Ravello Belmond is looking for a General Manager for the Caruso, a Belmond Hotel, Ravello, located on the Amalfi Coast, Italy. This elegant 11th-century palace boasts lush, layered grounds, access to a private beach and cinematic panoramas between sea and sky. One of the world’s most iconic wedding destinations, the Hotel Caruso is a dream-like setting for dazzling and intimate celebrations. Guests enjoy creative gastronomy, a majestic pool and mesmerising spa. The General Manager will act as the business owner and drive excellence in line with Belmond’s and the Hotel Caruso’s strategic plan. He/she will have commercial accountability for budgeting and financial management, planning, organising and directing all hotel services, including Front of House, Food and Beverage operations, Housekeeping, Spa and any leisure facilities provided within the hotel. The ideal candidate has extensive experience working in a luxury hospitality both in Italy and abroad, and has a strong passion for driving state of the art service and guest experience. Main Duties and Responsibilities Act as business owner with overall responsibility of the hotel’s business success and operational processes / execution Achieve and exceed the hotel’s targets in terms of guest satisfaction, quality assurance and financial metrics, talent retention Ensure the successful delivery, in line with Caruso’s positioning, of all excellence related projects and manifestos Oversee the hotel’s pre-opening activity and operations In conjunction with the Divisional functional leaders, develop and implement strategies and projects around Sales, Brand & Marketing, Revenue, etc. Enhance the hotel’s culinary philosophy, focusing on gastronomic passion and loyalty to the terrain Elevate the hotel’s wellbeing experiences by enhancing outdoor and Spa activities Review and increase the hotel’s offering Develop a local culture that attracts top talent and connects to the community In collaboration with the Brand & Marketing/PR team, connect with the media, travel industry and clients that will tell the story of the Costiera Amalfitana and its surroundings Implement Divisional and Global initiatives as required Requirements Minimum of 5 years work experience in a General Manager position in the luxury hospitality industry International work experience desirable A passion for excellence Commitment to the development of the Hotel Caruso and its team A hands-on, can-do attitude, quality driven with a passionate for excellence and about bringing out the best in other people Fluent in Italian and English Genuine Character s – We are genuine characters and great storytellers.
