Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Global Product Master Data Specialist role will make an impact: The Global Product Master Data Specialist will be responsible for managing key aspects the company’s product master data on a global scale. This position is part of the Global Master Data Management Team which is responsible for creating, maintaining, and publishing standardized, high quality master data in order to support global operations, global processes and global reporting initiatives. Key Responsibilities for this role include: Creation and maintenance of product and material master data according to established standards. Work collaboratively with other functions (e.g. Global Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Sourcing, affiliates & manufacturing sites) to ensure master data related issues are resolved and objectives are met. Contribute to the definition of Viatris-wide data definitions, terminology, data quality and business rules. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring requirements are identified and met in a timely fashion. Serve as the “go-to” person for all matters related to product master data. Write, revise, and verify standard operating procedures and other documentation for process design & evaluation, training, etc. Analyze and solve master data problems and provide support for efficient daily operations. Support various SAP implementation projects by representing the Global Product Master Data function to ensure continued alignment between global and local master data teams. Support project teams during data cleansing and migration activities. Provide training to other business units on Global Product Master Data processes and concepts. Support system development activities by assisting in requirements gathering, the drafting of test scripts, test execution, etc. Lead data cleansing and harmonization activities and develop effective data cleansing rules and procedures in coordination with internal stakeholders. Perform data quality audits of product and material master data to ensure it remains current and adheres to data quality standards. Identify and manage the escalation and resolution of data quality issues, as needed. The minimum qualifications for this role are: 3 years of experience in a master data management related role, preferably managing product or material master data. SAP experience preferred but experience with other ERP systems and/or master data systems is acceptable. Highly detail oriented and the ability to consistently achieve high levels of accuracy. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, a must. Strong analytical skills, in terms of both data and process management. High level of proficiency with MS Office programs. Experience with SQL is a plus, but not required. Ability to cope with ambiguity and implement structure and clarity. Proactive and able to follow through on tasks. Strong organizational skills a must. Ability to act in a complex and rapidly changing environment. Ability to work well with people at various levels and with different cultural backgrounds. Bachelor level degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience. Strong customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
