Local Unit & Position Description DNV’s Business Assurance provides a comprehensive range of training services to customers around the globe. These services are designed to enhance organizational performance, promote sustainable practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. After growing and strengthening our approach to training services we are now looking for a proactive and experienced Global Training Business Development Manager to lead and manage our growth structurally. You’ll be an integral part of our Market and Industry team, reporting directly to the Market and Industry Director. This position is remote, so you can be based anywhere in Europe and work from home. Some travel will be needed for business purposes. About the role As our Global Training Business Development Manager, you will lead on both business development and delivery, driving the growth and profitability of our training services on a global scale. You will develop strategic business plans, collaborate with country teams, and show exceptional leadership qualities. Your proactive management approach will ensure the achievement of targets, while your ability to identify business opportunities and propose innovative solutions will drive revenue growth. With a focus on exceeding expectations, you will support country teams to develop new channels for selling and delivering training services. In this wide-ranging role, you will: Work with country teams to develop and implement comprehensive training business plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize the profitability of our training services. Collaborate with country sales managers and country training managers to create robust business development and delivery strategies. Drive new training services development globally, while supporting countries in developing their own services locally. Identify business development opportunities and work closely with sales and delivery teams to propose and execute new business ideas. Review growth objectives and work with target countries and accounts to develop action plans for improvement. Build a high-performance culture by proactively managing training representatives, fostering teamwork, and improving overall performance. Support key customer managers in presenting compelling training service propositions to customers. With solid experience in a growth-focused role, you are adept at developing strong networks and influencing change. Entrepreneurial and strategic, you excel at driving business growth through innovative solutions. Position Qualifications To excel in this role, you will bring: Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred). At least 5 years of experience in a growth-focused role, ideally with a strong background in management system certification and training. Extensive knowledge and experience in training services and business development, enabling you to drive business performance effectively. Previous experience in a global role, showcasing your ability to navigate diverse markets and cultures. Strong commercial awareness and a record of delivering exceptional results. Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary, to support our global operations. Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills to engage with stakeholders across borders.
