Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 9 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI).
Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
Position
The Head of Accommodation is responsible for designing, planning, and delivering the process that guarantees the required availability and manages the allocation of the bookings of all Games Stakeholders with all the relevant accommodation providers.
Main responsibilities:
· Secure the required accommodation inventory to meet the needs of all client groups according to IOC and IPC guidelines and requirements;
· Negotiate and finalise the contract with all hotels and facilities;
· Manage and oversee all aspects related to accommodation services for each functional area;
· Build strong relationship with each Stakeholder and the accommodation providers;
· Manage the volume of requests from the stakeholder groups throughout the Games locations and clusters, and the large amount of accommodation data and financial information;
· Make strategic decisions as required to define and manage the allocation process;
· Develop and manage the AMS (Accommodation Management System) with the provider;
· Define and manage a robust tracking and reporting process;
· Interact and cooperate with all client group owners within the Organising Committee, and with the Finance, Procurement, and Legal teams as required;
· Track & manage key issues;
· Oversee budget;
· Identify, assess & manage key risks;
· Build and manage the Accommodation team and coordinate the activities of the service provider.
Requirements
About 10 years of experience in the local Hotel/Tourism Industry, good and ongoing relationships with hotels, possibly around the area of Milano and Cortina, are required whilst a previous involvement in Olympic Games or major international events accommodation processes would be a desirable plus.
The ideal candidate must possess good negotiation and sales skills as well as a good project management expertise, and must demonstrate capability in planning, organising, leading and directing team members to ensure the accomplishment of the organizational goals.
Strong communicative skills and the ability to multitask and perform in fast-paced, multicultural environments are also necessary to fulfil the role.
