About the role We are looking for an HR Administration and People Operations Specialist to join our local People Team, based in Milan. This hybrid role, will report directly to the local HR Business Partner where you’ll have a specific focus on People Administration and Operations and you’ll partner with our central payroll team and payroll provider to check to oversee the pay cycle. As an important member of our People Team, you’ll also gain experience multiple other HR processes, projects so there is huge opportunity to develop alongside your main focus of People Administration HR Operations. What you’ll do: HR Administration: Take full ownership for the administration for our entire employee lifecycle – from recruitment and on-boarding, performance management and development through to promotions and exits, this is an administrative role with high impact. People Operations: You’ll prepare employment offer letters, contracts, letters of promotion and compensation changes in line with the National Labor Contract applied Data Management: You’ll be our Workday superuser and be responsible for data integrity and accuracy for all our HR data related to our employee information Absence Management: Monitor the correct management of all overtimes and absence according to the National Labor Contract and support employees in the management of their monthly time sheets Payroll: Full accountability for all payroll activities – ensuring transactions are processed accurately, collect monthly variations to insert in the payslips and check that all of them are adequately reflected in the payslip draft. Process all monthly, quarterly, and annual bonuses and commissions Global Collaboration and Projects: Work with our Global People Team in the UK – from payroll, central people operations team, compensation & benefits team As the main point of contact for all HR related queries, you’ll be expected to respond clearly, confidentially and with confidence on different issues, across all levels of the organisation. Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ previous experience in People administration Payroll Experience, knowledge in payroll and taxation processes HR Experience: Some understanding of Italian Labour law and of the CCNL Commercio Knowledge of Workday or similar HR database is advantageous You have an ability to work in a team and to relate to any level of the company Languages: You must be fluent in both English and Italian – please ensure you application is submitted in English Why Deliveroo Our mission is to be the definitive food company.
