Our beautiful Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel in Sicily is searching for a talented Human Resources Manager to join our team of passionate professionals.The ideal candidate has experience working in Italy, ideally in a resort, and will have a wealth of experience in Human Resources management, with excellent knowledge of the Italian labour law and with a true passion for people.Reporting to the General Manager and with a dotted line to the Divisional Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for maintaining efficient systems and services to ensure the smooth running of the hotel human resources functions. You will provide a comprehensive, confidential Human Resource support service to all Employees to drive the achievement of our vision and goals.The position is based in Taormina, Sicily and the contract is permanent and full time. You must possess the legal right to work in Italy / EU. What You Will Do Be a true partner to the business for anything that relates to providing advice, guidance and caring to the hotel team Position our brand as an employer of choice through effective strategies that attract talent and build a talent pool for effective succession planning within the business Keep the culture of the hotel alive by embedding Belmond behaviours, promoting a fair, safe, inclusive, diverse environment and leading initiatives that engage and empower the team Operate an efficient and accurate administration system in order to meet statutory, legal and internal requirements Implement and manage our Belmond policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring we are compliant with local employment law in all areas Plan and formulate short to medium-term HR recruitment strategies, programs and guidelines which enables the Hotel to attract and retain the highest calibre of colleagues Work with Heads of Department in fostering development opportunities for the team Support employees’ learning and development activities and performance management Provide a counselling and advisory service to all colleagues and manage any grievance and disciplinary proceedings, adhering to the company, hotel and legal requirements Prepare the human resources budget, manpower planning, and business plans as outlined in the annual budgeting process Liaise with LVMH systems and Regional HR Division to ensure all monthly reports are completed and properly maintained Requirements A minimum of 3 years’ experience across all aspects of Human Resources within the hospitality industry Fluent in Italian and English is a must Excellent communication skills in all aspects: verbal, written and non-verbal Proficient in using Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
