Mission Consistently manage the assigned jobs by delivering what we promise, meeting or improving timing and margin. Goals The PMs’ goals can be summarized as follow: – Meet/improve the job’s budget; – Meet/improve the job schedule; – Achieve/exceed the Customer Satisfaction’s rate; – Develop and submit the agreed documents and reporting within the agreed time; – Manage job’s risks by a proper identification and mitigation plan; – Manage opportunities to grow project’s revenues and GPs. Job Responsibilities The PMs tasks include: – Read and understand the contractual terms to consistently deliver the supply in compliance with all the contractual obligations; – Early identification of project risks for and early adoption of appropriate countermeasures; – Manage the relationship with customer under any aspect, including in-out official correspondence, calling/attending meetings, minor contractual changes (within the DOA’s limits); – Manage sub-contractors, suppliers and purchasing processes; – Lead the resources appointed to the job, ensuring timely and consistent deliveries; – Organization of project team including leadership, setting of priorities and dates, conflict management, team motivation; – Ensure coordination and communication within the project team; – Comply to the “reporting plan” sending requested reports in the requested date with reliable data; – Create and update the Job Schedule on a regular base; – Support sales department with contract negotiation, contract closure and time schedules; – Special and Ancillary tasks which essentially belong to the field of activity on the instructions of superiors. The PM is authorized to: – Sign job’s correspondence to Customers and Vendors; – Sign POs within DOA’s limits; – Authorize per project related function’s budget for labor, T&L within the limits set by DOA. Safety and Quality related responsibilities The PMs are responsible for the rigorous application of the company rules with regard to the project development, the accuracy of reported data and the respect of the contractual/agreed deadlines. Compliance to Safety is priority one for Anaergia and the execution, consisting of design, erection and start-up, represents critical phases in respect of the safety risks. The PMs are called to respect all general and project-specific safety rules, applying and ensuring application of all prescriptions at the best of their possibility/authority. Job Requirements Educational competencies and working experience 1. Holds a technical diploma or graduation in: – Civil Engineering – Mechanical Engineering – Electrical Engineering – Chemical Engineering 2. They matured experience as Project Manager in the Industrial Plant business. Technical / Specialist competencies The PMs have the following technical skillsets: – Deeply understands and is able to manage contracts for supplying complex plants; – Is experienced in managing relationship with the Customers; – Is experienced in leading and coordinating the assigned resources; – Is acknowledged in project administration; – Is used to create and manage detailed job schedules; – Is skilled in purchasing; – Mother tongue level in local language; – Fluent in English. The following side competencies would also be good to have: – Biogas specific competence. Cross-functional competencies To make their job with the right “sense of priority” the PMs have to understand how their activity affect other functions as well as other functions can influence either positively or negatively, the achievement of their goals. Their competencies have therefore to include, but not be limited to: – Have some knowledge of “company management” and how the projects’ result, either forecasted and actual, do affect overall company management with reference to structural grow, and other investments; – Have good understanding of selling strategies, how they do influence the Project setting and how the Project may affect sales; – Be familiar with purchasing, identify and promote purchasing strategies for products, contracting and services, mainly based on: o High volume/value (synergies / standardized products) o Critical items (e.g. limited number of suppliers, Long Lead Items, etc.). Hierarchy The PMs report into the Regional Operations Manager but they represent the highest authority at “project level” with reference to the assigned project. The PMs are: – responsible for overall project results; – responsible for the overall project timing (even against partial delegation of specific portions to other functions, outsourcers and contractors) – primarily responsible for effective coordination and good communication within the project team. We can state that, beside the company organization, all the functions assigned to a project reports into the PMs, directly or indirectly (ref. to project team organization scheme), for what is concerning the assigned tasks. In other words, on specific projects, each and every function responds to the PMs for: – Delivering consistently assigned tasks (in quality & quantity); – Meeting budget; – Meeting deadlines.
