Marriott – Reporting to the Director of Finance, the IT Supervisor will coordinate the pre-opening IT activities for the second W Hotels property in Italy. During the pre-opening phase, the IT Supervisor will: Liaise with managers and corporate leaders to support the installation of hardware and software equipment in the hotel; Manage end users’ tools and software configuration following Marriott International procedures (active directory, mobile/printers set up, software installation etc); First and second line support to end users and guests in house; implement Marriott International policies and procedures related to IT and data protection. Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters). Technical support Assist end users and in-house guest in IT related operations (active directory set up, software and hardware configuration, mobile phones and landline, audio-visual conferencing Provide first and second support and escalate to corporate third level support Liaise with IT providers for quotation, installation and configuration of hardware and software Apply data protection policies and procedures Working with Others Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments. Identify and recommend new ideas, technologies, or processes to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings. Problem Solving Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems or issues related to computer software and systems. Provide technical guidance and recommendations to resolve business problems. Analyze, recommend, and implement process improvements. Computer Hardware and Software Enter commands and activate controls on computer and peripheral equipment (e.g., printers) to integrate and operate equipment. Programming Troubleshoot, modify, support, and maintain applications programs. Personal Computer Support Manage user accounts, including set up, removal, and resetting passwords in order to ensure confidentiality and proper use. Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities. Train or instruct users in the proper use of hardware or software. Telecom Manage and coordinate operations, maintenance, and resource allocation of telecommunications activities, including client/server support and strategic and tactical planning. Consult with others on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods related to telecommunications. Advise others on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods related to telecommunications. 1-2 years’ experience in similar positions. Previous experience in Systems Support desirable. System-related professional certifications desired. Customer service and interpersonal skills English and Italian language knowledge is mandatory
