The Affiliate Buyer is primarily responsible to support execution of tactical Procurement activities for Business prompted, and procurement driven sourcing requests within a specific affiliate. As a team member in an Affiliate-Hub team, the role is responsible for executing various day-to-day sourcing activities such as ad-hoc, unplanned or reactive business-led buying activities ensuring maximum possible Procurement impact and savings realization.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Category Management activities
- Identifying opportunities to the Category and Supplier Relationship Management team
- Supporting local implementation and adherence to Category initiatives and savings realization
- Providing input and feedback to the creation of category buying guides and content
Support Supplier Relationship Management activities for a specific affiliate
- Supporting supplier management activities for local specific suppliers, or the local aspect of /global supplier relationship where agreed / aligned with Category and Supplier Relationship Management team
Support Category Strategy execution and support (strategic) projects
- Support sourcing activities focused on execution and implementation of large business initiated, or major projects executed in line with Category Strategy / guides
- Support execution of local projects as agreed with Hub Procurement Manager and Regional Affiliate Lead
Deliver Tactical Procurement execution and procurement support for business requirements
- Manage day-to-day procurement RFx requirements and delivery support, including implementation and savings realization
Support Transactional Procurement efficiencies
- Support stakeholder handover to Transactional Procurement (i.e. ELC Buying Center)
- Manage conversion of project outcomes into relevant content and buying channel implementation
Support Change Management activities for a specific affiliate
- Support various transformational Procurement projects – i.e. new Indirect Policy implementation
- Support change and ensure Procurement goals and processes are moving forward towards excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor/University Degree or Equivalent with further education preferred in Business, Procurement or similar
- Result and execution focused
- 2-3 years’ experience in Indirect Procurement and managing purchasing activities in Corporate categories
- Good communication skills – able to inform/influence people at all levels
- Flexible and willing to drive change
- Ability to work independently and structured within a matrix organization
- Smoothly handles multiple demands, shifting priorities and rapid change – ability to identify and prioritize critical activities
- Eye for detail – precise analysis of figures (analytical and numeric skills)
- Analytical and innovative; seeks out fresh ideas from a variety of sources
- Works with others towards shared goals – collaborates and shares information
- Proven track record of implementing and executing sourcing projects
- Professional use of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, BI)
- Sourcing, negotiation, and contracting skills
- Experience with / and usage of Procurement technology i.e. SAP and SAP Ariba
- Italian mandatory, fluent english
