Position Summary

As Business Controller Specialist you will have the responsibility of Export P&L and will support the team on controlling activities related to Out of retail channel and to the business: quality reporting data, planning, gap analysis, I&R.

You will report to the Confectionery Business Co-Pilot.

A Day in the Life of Business Controller Specialist in Confectionery

  • P&L responsibility for the export channels (revenues and direct costs)
  • Actively participate to export business plans providing associated scenarios including markets value chain assessment, change of business model, change of distributors etc.
  • Act as the Custodian of the export business compliance being the export channel referent/ accountable for Audits
  • Active player supporting scenario planning identifying risks / opportunities and providing transparency towards target achievement
  • Reliable financials: support a fact based decision making process by ensuring to the business availability of high quality financial information and insightful business analysis
  • Target setting: Support the management to define commercial targets by customer/distributor and allocate the marketing and trade investment budget according potential sales growth and profitability;
  • ROIC: promote the ROI culture and maximize return of Trade spend and promotions performing pre and post evaluations of most relevant investment and ensuring key learnings.
  • Gap analysis: Contribute to identify and review KPI with monthly actuals providing transparency to the management towards target and previous years results.
  • I&R: Active role in the I&R process setting targets along the value chain (from sell-out rotations to factory costs), assessing business cases, challenging assumptions, analysing risks and performing post-launch evaluation in order to track key learnings
  • Revise the commercial policy and define best prices per channel/sub-channel in order to avoid trade spend due to internal competition on prices.

What will make you successful?

  • Business Bachelor or equivalent
  • At least 6 months – 1 year of experience in Business Controlling
  • Strong mental agility and Curiosity with ability to adapt and deal in an international context (sales)
  • Result Focus: takes ownership and is able to prioritize (dealing with 2 different channels)
  • Ability to manage big data and resilience supporting the team in operative acirivities
  • Communication skills and proven successfully team worker (better if experienced with sales)
  • Business acumen: Insightful business analysis and Effective business planning
  • Solid financial skills
