Our client in the renewable energy sector is committed to creating sustainable grids. Specializing in battery storage technology, they’re working on reliable, flexible, and eco-friendly energy systems. They’re addressing the climate crisis by developing vertically integrated infrastructure, starting with battery storage in the UK and Europe. Their advanced technology optimizes energy use, and they manage a diverse project pipeline, overseeing all development stages with an expert team. We are looking for a land acquisition specialist to work side-by-side with the Lead of Project Development to manage the origination and validation of land opportunities for battery storage assets in Italy. You’ll join a team that is strongly committed to making a difference in developing, financing, building and operating the assets we need to protect our climate and the environment. Key Responsibilities Identify land in assigned areas and manage the entire preliminary and final agreement for lease (DDS) or purchase Conduct a thorough review of constraints (analisi vincolistica) both through GIS and on the ground Where necessary, engage experts to clarify potential red flags that might prevent the project to reach planning consent or to be built Identify and coordinate local scouts, to ensure the transactions are cost-effective as well as fast and without unnecessary liabilities Visit the identified sites and lead the negotiation of contract with landowners Drive the preliminary agreement signing process Carry out an accurate analysis of the Italian market regarding prices in the area and in particular on the value of agricultural land Prepare the necessary documentation for the project development process Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for land assessment and project buildability Interface with third-party advisors (technical, legal) during the course of the activities Work in close coordination with the UK team, to ensure consistency across the group wherever relevant. Experience and Skills Degree in civil engineering, geology or agronomy 3/5 years of experience in the land acquisition for renewable energy, geotechnical analysis or in land real estate Good knowledge and understanding of the Italian land market for renewable energy project development Passion for the renewables sector and being part of a purpose-driven business Excellent communication and negotiation skills Simple and straightforward style when advising internal stakeholders Attention to detail Proactive, problem solving and empathic with landowners Ability to manage competing priorities, whilst maintaining the quality of advice and a good work-life balance Fluent and confident with both written and spoken English and Italian Proficient and motivated in working as a team, and goal-oriented working Availability for frequent trips in Italy, also at short notice Package Details Competitive salary Shares under employee share scheme Annual learning & development budget to spend as your choose Choice of laptop and other tech to support your needs J-18808-Ljbffr
