Overview We are seeking a Merchandising Manager to support across our LG collections, reporting to the Chief Merchandising Officer. The candidate must possess a strong market knowledge of collection Merchandising specialised in LG category and market trends as well as experience with strategic analysis of this category. Your Mission: • Competitive Benchmarking: product segmentation, pricing and collection structure. Regular updates on competitor activity, in terms of product, influencers and social media. • Trend analysis: identify key product trends in all categories in high growth regions. • Seasonal sell in reporting: analysis during and end of each sales campaign. • Producing seasonal Collection Briefing for Design Team • Formulating seasonal merchandising/product strategies and objectives • Setting pricing structure and seasonal pricing implementation to reach the target margin and provide competitive benchmarking • Conduct seasonal market research to inform price positioning • Work closely with finance team on spread analysis and price simulations to ensure correct price positioning given foreign exchange fluctuations and competitor pricing • Producing all relevant analysis/market research required for seasonal Collection Brief • Collaborating with the Design team in the development of collections, guiding the optimal balance between design vision and commercial goals • Delivering seasonal raw materials sales forecast • Working with Retail Merchandising Team for Master Order for each sales campaign • Managing all special projects/collaborations/capsule collections • Guiding marketing initiatives and calendar according to seasonal product strategy • Managing product life cycle and mark down/exit /carry over strategy • Recommend actions following thorough collection analysis in-season and for future collection development • Provide detailed analysis in markets and regional trends • Prepare the Merchandising Overview each season and communicate recommended seasonal priorities • Preparation for the sales campaign – pricing, editing, communicate product amendments/updates with product team and retail, wholesale team • Consolidate Collection feedback from Wholesale and Retail for the sales debrief • Managing the typology and hierarchy for each product category to facilitate correct analysis Your Talent: • Solid experience in merchandising analysis at a worldwide or regional level for LG collection across all product categories for a luxury fashion brand. • Excellent analytical skills coupled with strong product sensibility. • Previous experience with competitive benchmarking and trend analysis for luxury brands. • Team player who is also able to work with cross departments including Design team • Adaptable to change within fast-paced fashion environment. • Organised and high level of accuracy. • Accustomed to working with central and regional retail merchandising teams. Systems and Essentials • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills • Previous experience with software PLM, and other analytical tools. • Italian plus English as additional language preferred.
