Become part of HHLA PLT Italy and shape the gateway to the future with us The Maintenance Manager is the head of the technical team of a multipurpose terminal that manages containers, ro-ro and general cargo. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for all maintenance activities in the terminal and oversees all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of PLTs facilities and equipment. He/She will be the one to ensure that his/her colleagues have the best resources available to complete their duties in accordance with the budget. The Maintenance Manager has a solid understanding of safety regulations, maintenance management procedures including RAMS analysis and other related analysis. Focus on safety and continual improvement, improvement of reliability of equipment, reduction of maintenance cost, etc. is required. The ideal candidate has an aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting, and analyses. Besides managing the maintenance team, the Maintenance Manager will also organise all permits, procedures, and paperwork for approvals from the port authorities and other authorities and will be implementing the special (safety) improvement projects. What you can expect Examples include but are not limited to: Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation. Plan and oversee the team that organise all repair and installation activities. Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff. Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance. Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities. Ensure health and safety policies are complied with. Control/track and support the commissioning of new equipment. Ongoing improvement based on solid analysis and improvement proposals. Implementation and ongoing management of KPI’s. Execution of special projects. What you bring to the table Proven experience as Maintenance Manager or other managerial role (7-10 y). Experience in planning a wide range of maintenance operations from infrastructure systems and equipment. Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus. Degree in technical field will be a plus (Engineering or similar). Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc. Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment. Ability to keep track of and report on activity. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills. Fluent spoken and written English is a must.
