Main Purpose of the Role:
The “ EMCO” Market Development Engineer (MDE) will determine, develop, scale and lead implementation of successful, comprehensive solution programs that accelerate market, sales and profit growth within the associated Arrow Vertical/Market /Business segment.
What will you be doing at Arrow Global Components?
The MDE is the central point for understanding program development, technology solution driven and leading into commercial success in the assigned market segments.
The MDE will be held responsible for developing and executing the go-to-market strategy in assigned markets or business segments.
The MDE will serve as a conduit between the various Arrow & Supplier business units and functional organizations to lead, develop and implement successfully technology + commercial programs leading to sales and profit growth within this assigned market/business segment.
The Market Development Engineer routinely interacts with business unit leadership and sales, marketing, engineering within the regions and countries to ensure we have up-to-date information regarding successful competitive positioning information and technologies.
The MDE will be accountable for achievement of the EMCO RGP plan within your defined segment whilst supporting the different Branches to exceed all IP&E objectives:

Specializes in key market segments and technologies of the business, as assigned within the dedicated Vertical

Owns the go-to-market strategy plan for the assigned market / business segment, in close collaboration with the business units (BU) like Sales and/or Product Management

Conducts business strategy activities to include total available market, market share, segmentation, competitive analysis, emerging trends, SWOT and product positioning for the assigned market

Collaborates with the BU on product road mapping, new product development, and product management activities to support the assigned market

Works with supplier, product management and other product and engineering resources to clarify product and service needs, requirements and priorities to achieve commercial success in the assigned markets

Creates, gains approvals for and executes (upon approval) comprehensive products and services offers for the assigned market, including compelling offers to optimize customer and segment penetration

Contributes to development of communication programs and materials for use in business development in assigned market

Evaluates, recommends, and manages (as assigned) supplier and channel programs within the assigned market

Contributes to development of marketing campaigns, tools, and training programs aimed to drive increased market share and visibility for internal, external stakeholders

Lead market or segment-based Voice of Customer activities to capture product reception and validate new marketing opportunities

Build and manage influential relationships with key suppliers.

Make “joint” calls with ARROW and supplier’s Sales personnel where it is strategically and tactically appropriate on a regular basis

Be involved with supplier web training for new products, new product releases, supplier promotions, and identify market/customer penetration strategies with the appropriate products
All tasks to be carried out in a Total Quality Manner, consistent with Company Culture
What are we looking for?

Experience in electronics industry or manufacturing in similar positions in Sales, Engineering, Marketing or Product management – must have

Experience in engineering and business strategy –market & customer segmentation; competitive product benchmarking, financial analysis (ROI, pricing, scenario analysis) – must have

Strong sales skills

Full driving license and readiness for business travel – must have

English Language skills – fluently in writing and spoken

Expertise in engaging to executive-level stakeholders

Track record in delivering results in market / segment management or development of comprehensive solutions offers in business-to-business industry

Understanding of performance measurement tools and technology

Demonstration of project / team leadership, and collaboration skills
