Material Specialist

Prometeon Tyre Group is looking for a Material Specialist to join our R&D team in Head Quarter of the Group based in Milan. The candidate will support the team in the following activities: • Develop compounds for tyre truck applications from the laboratory to the industrialization phase; • Chemical and physical characterization of tyres and compounds thanks to a deep knowledge of the laboratory methodologies and technologies; • Reverse engineering: starting from commercial products, perform a deeply laboratory analysis to evaluate the strengths and the weaknesses of current and potential competitors; • Able to read and write technical patents regarding innovative materials for tyre applications; • Management of the relationships with procurement, quality, industrialization, product development and testing departments; • Periodic travel to the plants to follow mixing process and all the activities related to the industrialization of new compounds; • Technical interface with raw material suppliers; Requirements: Requirements: • Master degree in Chemicals or a PhD in similar studies, e.i Material Sciences • Knowledge of reactions, synthesis and characterization of polymers • Innovative approach, able to adapt in a challenging and changing environment • Problem solving and “think out of the box” approach • Pragmatic and flexible approach, able to effectively work with both HQ and plants functions • Strong knowledge of MsOffice package • Fluency in spoken and written English and Italian • Chinese language would be considered a plus • Highly motivated, able to work independently, positive thinking, proactive and open-minded The workplace will be in Milan, according to the NewWay2.Work ( blended model & flexibility ) implemented in the company.
