Network Design and Optimization Consultant

The successful candidate will be working at the cutting edge of technology (ML, 5G, IoT, AEO, and VoLTE/VoNR) and will be involved with projects in many diverse global locations. In this role, you will be a domain specialist and a go-to person in the field of Radio Network Design and Optimisation. Although this position is based in Rome or Milan, Italy, you will be required to travel extensively to Ericsson and Customer sites around the world, for both short and long duration assignments. You will be part of an international team focusing on design and develop end to end technical solutions for the customers. We will allow you to: Provide network solutions on the latest technologies in Radio Access Network (RAN) space, considering end to end impacts. Develop and deliver machine learning solutions in the RAN Design and Optimization area to mobile operators Participate in pre-sales and deliver services in Radio Network Design and Optimization Stay abreast of new technology/technical areas and share information about solution Manage customer expectations, implementation of customer solutions within agreed time, scope and cost Have discussion with Customers (Technical Staff and Senior Management), understand customer requirements Main Activities: Scope, define and design solution offerings related to 5G, ML, IoT, AEO, and VoLTE/VoNR applied to Radio Network Design and Optimization, Fixed Wireless Access Networks and all innovative use cases related to Indutry4.0 and Massive/Critical IoT; Support Project Managers to analyse customer requirements, build the solution, provide cost estimation and drive scope management Participate in negotiations with a customer Provide Live network behaviour feedbacks to Research & Development Units Analyse and improve Network Solutions performance End-user Quality of Service Optimization Work in a project team and be proactive member Share with Ericsson community information/documents/competences What We’re Looking For: Degree in Telecommunication / Electronic Engineering / Information Technology or related discipline Knowledge in solving and conceptualizing use cases based on Data Analytics Good knowledge of statistical analysis and software development 6/7 years of shown experience in ICT Industry Senior consultative approach toward the customer Able to understand customers business objectives and link them to improvements in Network Performance and End User Experience Very good knowledge of English language (written and spoken) Excellent presentation, negotiation and argumentation skills Even Better If You Have: Hands on experience on Data Science and AI related technologies Very good knowledge of Ericsson equipment, radio network features, algorithms and parameters Creative & innovative attitude Keen on learning Willing to work under high pressure and taking initiative with good focus on problem solving Why join Ericsson?
