Job Description PATIENT JOURNEY SPECIALIST ROLE OBJECTIVE: • Gather insights on Patient Journey of the assigned Therapeutic Areas in the territory in charge. • Identify patient journey roadblocks in the specific therapeutic areas and actively support the Patient Journey Lead in coordinating activities to provide solutions to mitigate or resolve them. • Increase awareness on selected pathologies among assigned centers stressing importance of early diagnosis and screening. Identify new centers that could potentially benefit from enhancing disease awareness. • Support the development of networking activities among Hospitals and Centers of Excellence in the assigned territory for the selected pathologies (Spoke & Hub). ACCOUNTABILITIES • Increase Disease Awareness to improve early diagnosis and improve follow up. • Ensure consistent communication to external stakeholders on selected Therapeutic area(s) providing in-depth knowledge and insights to support them in understanding the patient perspective. • Capture insights: o Know and understand the patient journey in the assigned accounts. o Identify local roadblocks and report to the Patient Journey Lead • Provide support to the Patient Journey Lead in the definition of local strategies for patient journey improvement. • Take part to relevant internal meetings and activities dedicated to creating solutions to mitigate or resolve roadblocks in the patient care pathway. • Vehicle specialized expertise from other functions in the Company towards solutions of such roadblocks. • Increase awareness on the existing Centre of Excellence in the assigned therapeutic area, facilitating networking in order to deliver value for patients and the community. • Has the ownership of the implementation of all Patient Journey projects realized in the assigned territory SKILLS and CAPABILITIES Education and experience: • University Degree • Good written and spoken English (preferred). • Previous experience in rare diseases is an advantage. Skills: • Emotional intelligence and ability to build network and relations. • Work closely with other functions and facilitate cross-functional work. • Creativity, capacity to innovate and think differently. • Problem solving skills. • Demonstrates robust scientific knowledge, as appropriate for her/his role, and continuously seeks to refresh and expand therapeutic area trends and insights. • Innovative thinking • Intellectual curiosity and Growth Mindset • Project management Strong Communication skills: • Good communication skills, both oral and written, and able to engender trust and respect of peers, subordinates, and superiors.
