Location: Milano About the role: As People & Organisation Business Partner you will be responsible to drive and execute organizational strategy in country, leveraging deep expertise in P&O / HR with a critical focus on strategy. You will also be responsible for preparing the organization for the future & operationalizing strategic plans for implementation. You will take ownership for your local client groups, serve as advisor to line managers and proactively establish strong working relationship with client groups to understand key business issues and their impact on P&O. You will contribute to country P&O plans and foster effective collaboration across P&O areas. Key responsibilities: Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Translate the business plan into a talent plan: • Building and implementing a talent plan around key business deliverables, that identifies required skills, talent pipeline and succession. • Providing strategic workforce planning consulting, leader coaching, and addressing key capability gaps. Enable business transformation: • Contributing to organization diagnosis and design activities, reviewing organisational health data and recommending improvements. • Shaping and advising the business on embedding of culture, diversity & inclusion aspirations, to enable performance improvement • Support project and change management (especially in the area of operating model changes), prioritizing and implementing unit-wide programs Leadership and Team Development: • Coaching in-country leaders to develop high performing teams, advance operating models / ways of working and develop their own leadership capabilities Enabling business performance through data-driven decision-making: • Monitor business performance and identify people-related risks/opportunities for data-driven decision-making. • Utilize P&O reports to measure impact and provide insights and recommendations to P&O Board. Role Requirements What you’ll bring to the role:: • Extensive experience within People & Organisation / HR in a multinational company, blending global and local perspectives, with strong skills in stakeholder management and influencing • Track record of attracting, developing, and retaining talent and building high performing teams • Business acumen and proven ability to manage complexity and deal with high level of ambiguity, leveraging data & analytics to inform decision making • Generalist exposure across the full array of People and Organisation disciplines including organisational design, talent acquisition & talent management, retention strategies and succession planning, performance management systems, employee relations and industrial relations, compensation and benefits and other reward mechanisms. • English and Italian: proficient Why Novartis? : Our purpose is to reimagine medicine to improve and extend people’s lives and our vision is to become the most valued and trusted medicines company in the world.
