We are looking for a PR Specialist / Press Officer for full time, permanent position to develop and deliver effective PR strategies for the Italian market, through product and corporate PR. The role is based in our new flagship store in Rome. You will report into the Brand Manager for Italy and will play a key role in developing our LifeWear philosophy. What you will be responsible for As Press Officer / PR Specislist you will be developing and delivering the seasonal PR strategy for UNIQLO in Italy, which include both key angles, of product and the corporate PR side Growing brand awareness of LifeWear in Italy Drafting and distributing press releases and materials that secure optimization of coverage and features Generating coverage across media titles including digital and printed media (as well as other channels) Working on events and special creative projects alongside external partners that help generate visibility as well as brand awareness Developing relationships with corporate stakeholders, direct media, stylists, and influencers Working closely with the Italian management team as well as Marketing EU and Global members to align on all communications and share best practice initiatives Managing the local PR agency showroom and the store together with the Press Manager including all media, key leaders and influencers, managing appointments, press days, special events, stores openings, and related seeding Overseeing reporting to ensure that press coverage is managed, monitored, and ensuring seasonal KPIs are met Managing and delivering events, including overseeing guest lists, invitations, run of show and logistics in collaboration with all relevant PR and Marketing team members What we are looking for: Minimum of 4 years’ retail fashion or lifestyle PR experience both in-house and agency Must be fluent in both English and Italian Thrives in fast-paced environments with a hands-on approach Flexible approach to working hours Flexible to travel nationally and internationally Proven experience in Corporate PR, speaking to press and networking Skilled in developing strategies on sustainability Knowledge of all the marketing levers Strong knowledge of the Italian media landscape and extensive network in press environment with the ability to generate coverage across titles Analytical, monitoring programs necessary for reporting experienced in utilizing databases, with knowledge of the press across digital or print Managing press release distribution and media/influencer database management Solid understanding of reactive communications management and issues management Additional Skills Excel Power Point Attributes Ability to lead projects to achieve targets Team player who effectively collaborates across functions You will have a hands on approach, and proactively get involved to support our teams Great attention to details across all aspects of work What we can offer you Possible future progression opportunities Staff Discount 30% Holiday entitlement (approx 5 weeks) Global Profit Share Scheme Performance bonus opportunity Hybrid working, 2 days from home, 3 days in store UNIQLO is an inclusive employer and we welcome applications from all profiles, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disabilities or background.
