In this role, you have the opportunity to represent the voice of the consumer throughout the product development process from insight generation to market launch, to ensure that Philips and Saeco innovations make a meaningful difference to consumers’ lives. Based on deep consumer insights, you translate consumer needs into innovations that delight consumers, working closely together with Marketing and Development in the definition, creation and launch of new products. When needed, you will initiate explorative, quantitative or qualitative research via our own panels or through external research agencies. You will be responsible for Owners of usability/ user research methodology à i.e., creating high-quality research set-ups, preserving user research integrity and quality. Understand how to design experiments and interpret the results effectively. Deploy critical thinking when setting up research: evaluate information objectively, identify and avoid biases, consider alternative perspective. Liaising with outside research agencies when we need their support for specific questions or research set-ups. Conducting research around or latest innovations and products, to determine product needs and ensure inhouse technologies really produce user & consumer satisfaction. Working with the development team to create prototypes in order to tests them and gather feedback from users that can improve said prototypes & the final product. Ensuring voice of consumer representation in solution development E2E, including value proposition definition, solution requirements definition, user experience and user interface, consumer support and solution testing and release Translating consumer feedback and solution data-based insights into solution improvement opportunities and support roadmap definition with consumer insights from data analysis Analysing market data from R&R, sample testing, consumer feedback etc., form recommendations & circulates learnings. You are a part of Our Product Research team in Coffee in Casalecchio (BO), Italy. . To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience Bachelor’s or master’s degrees preferred in Engineering (mechanical, design engineering, or ergonomics), Social Sciences (e.g. Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Business, etc.), Industrial Design – focus on usability design preferred. Minimum 2 experience in industrial product development position. User & consumer research experience – i.e. focus groups, interviews, usability research, market research, ethnography, A/B testing with physical products, quantitative surveys, ratings and revies analysis, etc. UX/UI research welcomed. Specially for products that have both physical/mechanical & digital components. Experience with data analysis is a plus (SPSS, Minitab, Excel or other statistical tools) Fluent in English and Italian strongly preferred. Strong Consumer & User mindset to be able to see the link between technology and consumers. Experience with facilitating f2f usability tests Good communication, storytelling and influencing skills.
