This role is fundamental to convert customer orders for Medium Voltage switchgear to drawings and BOMs that comply with customer requirements. The role of Project Engineer is crucial for the actual development of the product sold by ABB. In this role, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines. This position reports to Engineering Manager Your responsibilities Lead the technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors. Assisting project managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards. Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project. Selecting adequate electrical equipment. Helping customers to resolve technical issues and assisting on questions and comments regarding the product. Developing your management and communication skills by working with the operation and quality department. Your background Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical distribution, working as project engineer with medium voltage switchgear. Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including SAP, Eplan, CAD and Excel. A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines. A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies. A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in electrical Engineering (desirable), electro-mechanical engineer, control or automation engineer, mechanical electrician engineer or similar relevant studies.
